Moving Towards Comfort with
The Feldenkrais Method®

of Northeast Los Angeles

The Feldenkrais Method® uses small gentle movement explorations to harness the power of our nervous system and our innate healing ability to bring enjoyment and ease to daily activity. This method was developed by Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, a mechanical engineer, physicist and judo black belt. His study of developmental movement, neurophysiology and learning theory contributes to the richness of this practice.

Our Approach

The Feldenkrais Method® uses two approaches to experience the integration of movement, sensation and awareness.

Awareness Through Movement®

In these group classes, you are guided through a series of novel movements that are designed to stimulate curiosity and help your nervous system find the easiest, most comfortable ways for you to move.

  • Monday 8:45am

  • Monday 6:30pm

During the pandemic all classes are on zoom.

Functional Integration (FI)

These individual hands-on treatments are specially designed to work on particular areas of discomfort.

During the pandemic FI treatments are limited to those who are vaccinated.

“Make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant.”

— Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais

About Jenna Blaustein

I worked for 25 years as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. My primary focus was helping older people maintain their ability to care for themselves, and helping caregivers support older people with complex medical conditions, pain management, dementia and end of life decisions.  I also worked for twelve years in a depression care management program.

I had lifelong difficulties with coordination, and at age 39 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I ignored my MS symptoms (fatigue, poor balance, aches and pains) until I had a fall. I began working with a Feldenkrais Practitioner and immediately noticed improvement in my physical energy, coordination and balance. Smitten, I decided to pursue this study professionally. I graduated from the Santa Fe training program, led by Alan Questal, in 2017.
